My Dear Reader,
Since I stopped posting"Troop Scoop," due to a family illness, I've avoided using the mailing list for any other purpose. However, I'm going to break my rule, because you're special people who care about our troops. I've become passionately involved in a wonderful organization called "Homes for our Troops." They build homes for our severely wounded troops, to give them independence and accessibility, so they can't get out of doing household chores!
I've gone to 3 ceremonies here in Florida; 2 groundbreaking ones and a key ceremony. I was able to walk through the home and see all the innovations that will give those that have major disabilities an improved quality of life. It's a humbling opportunity to participate, and a chance to express your personal gratitude. Over 128 houses have been built in 38 states. I urge you to go to their website (www.homesforourtroops.org), and see if you can help out in your state.
