Op Orchard is a joint venture in which TF La Fayette and the Afrane Non-Governmental Org. donated approx 70,000 fruit trees, in an attempt to limit erosion and provide the farmers with a consistent income.

Maj. Gen. Nash Attends Mass, Thanks Church Leaders

Maj. Gen. Nash, MND-S cmdr, interacts with the staff at St. Efram, a Chaldean Catholic church, Dec. 6, in Basrah. Attached to the church is an elementary school that teaches children from mixed religious backgrounds, a unifying concept also seen in past meetings with religious leaders in MND-S, for which, Nash said, he is thankful.
Acting Bishop of Basrah Imad Al Banna thanks Maj. Gen. Nash and his staff for their gifts to be given to children. The presentation of gifts coincided with Nash's attendance of Mass at the church, show gratitude to Banna, one of the many religious leaders in MND-S that work together in the reconstruction of Iraq.
